We all know that elders are very important in our lives, and the role they played can’t be expressed in words. The life we are living is because of them, elders have been our backbone and they struggled very hard to make us successful.

Human lives are temporal, one has to leave the world when they are destined too. The love and affection, they have poured on us throughout their entire lives can’t be paid off. To show our respect and hour to the elders even after their death, we have a ritual that has been celebrated for some days, in a year known as Pitrupaksha or shradh.

Importance of Pitrupaksha:

It is celebrated at the time of the lunar month of Ashwini, the celebration is continued for 15 days in the Hindu calendar. The people pay their respect to their ancestors by offerings food to the priests.

Pitupaksha is an important task everyone should grab their blessing for their ancestors, it is mainly performed to ensure that the soul of the ancestor goes to heaven peacefully. The shradh is performed on the same day when the ancestor has passed out.

If the ancestor is satisfied with the Shradh practice they will bestow great health, knowledge, prosperity, and a long life who is continuously practicing the shradh.

During these practices, one should avoid using smoke, drink, and non-veg in your meals. The family who put their heart and soul in remembering the ancestors would be happy for a lifetime.

You should also look at the time while practicing these acts. So, consult the best astrologer in Delhi, he will predict the best timings for Pitrupaksha. Keeping water pots to the crow must practice during Pitrudosha. If you want to respect your ancestors then practice the Pitrupaksha every year.
